Our Values and Staff

Center Values:
  • Individualism – We believe that each child is a unique person.  We recognize that each child needs to be nurtured and accepted for the special skills and talents that they possess.  “All children have special gifts; they just open their gifts at different times.”
  • Learning – We believe that early childhood is a unique and valuable stage of the human life cycle and learning begins here.
  • Caring – We believe that a child can learn best only when they feel safe and cared for in a positive and welcoming environment.
  • Curriculum – We value a curriculum that emerges from the needs and interests of the children and teachers.  Early Intervention – We believe that early intervention is the key to helping all children reach their full potential.
  • Parents as Partners – We believe that we can only provide quality care and learning experiences when parents work with us as partners in their children’s learning.
  • Community Partnerships – We believe that we must work together with other community agencies and partners to meet the needs of the children and families we work with.
  • Respect – We believe that when children are respected for who they are, they will also respect others.  We develop programs and activities that assure the development and dignity of all children.  We involve parents in decisions that are important to the well-being of their child.
  • Diversity – We value diversity within our center and incorporate each child’s culture, ethnicity, and family structure throughout the program.
  • Advocacy – We believe that as professionals working in the field of Early Childhood Education we must serve as advocates for children, their families, and their teachers in our community and society.
Children's Services Staff:

Patty Kalibabky - Director of Child Care Services
I have worked at Fraser Child Care Center since February 2003. Before coming to Fraser, Ltd. I worked as the Child Care Coordinator at the NDSU Wellness Center Child Care Service for two years and as a Regional Coordinator for the North Dakota Early Childhood Tracking System for three years.  I also have over ten years of experience working as a teacher with children of various ages.  I graduated from the University of Minnesota, Duluth with degrees in Early Child Care and Development and Psychology.

Kimberly Zeeb - Special Needs Coordinator
I graduated with a Bachelor of Social Work degree from MSUM and am licensed in ND.  I have been with Fraser, Ltd. since 2006 and truly enjoy the work I do.  Children are spontaneous and adventurous - what life should always be about!  I have worked in child care centers in Fargo and was a school counselor at Circle of Nations School in Wahpeton, ND.  My son and I, along with our schnauzer, Oscar, live in South Fargo.

Larissa Sneider - Infant Room Supervisor
I graduated from Minnesota State University Moorhead in December 2007 with a degree in Early Childhood Education. I previously worked at Fraser Child Care for 2 ½ years (January 2005-September 2007) in the infant room as an aide. As of September 2008 I have been the Lead Teacher. I like working with this age group and have enjoyed planning activities for them to do.

Denise Young - Pre-Toddler Room Supervisor
My name is Denise Young.  I started at Fraser, Ltd. in October 2011, where I work in the Pre-Toddler room as the lead teacher.  I graduated from MSU Mayville, ND with a BS in Elementary Education and Early Childhood.  I have worked with elementary and pre-school students in schools and centers for 26 years.  I am married and have two grown daughters in college.  I love to garden, travel, and care for my dogs.  I enjoy my work at Fraser, Ltd. and look forward to more wonderful experiences with he Pre-Toddler Program.

Julie McCormack – Toddler Room Supervisor
I began at Fraser, Ltd. in November 2010 as the Child Care Supervisor in the Toddler Room.  For exciting fun, no one can match a two year old!  I graduated from Mayville State in 1992 with a degree in English and Psychology and went straight into an MA program @ NDSU, where I taught 1st Year English for 4 years.  I taught at Interstate Business College, wrote owner’s manuals for agricultural machines, drafted blueprints, nested sheet metal, supervised engineering interns, played in a couple bands (Irish harp, bodhran, guitar, ukulele, vocals), and then went back to MSUM to get a teaching certificate in Early Childhood Special Education.  I worked for the past three years at Trinity Lutheran Preschool in the 3-year-old room.  In my spare time, I enjoy being with my family (husband, sister, 2 grown kids, 5 grown step-kids, their spouses, 7 grandkids, 1 step-step great-grandson), hanging with my pack of Dachshunds, needlecrafts (knitting, crocheting, needlepoint, beading, lucet weaving, nålbinding), sleeping, travelling, and eating chocolate.

Ashley Murphy - Pre-School Supervisor
My name is Ashley Murphy and I have been with Fraser, Ltd. on and off since 1998.  I started in the Toddler room as an aide.  When I received my B.S. in 2003 from NDSU in Child Development I was promoted to the Toddler Room Lead.  I worked there until June 2007.  In October of 2007 I returned as an aide in the Pre-School Room.  In September of 2008 I was offered a position as Pre-School Lead.  I have really enjoyed my time here at Fraser, Ltd. and continue to look forward to more positive times to come.

Kristin Kuettel Johnson – Pre-Kindergarten Supervisor
My name is Kristin Kuettel Johnson. I graduated from Minnesota State University Moorhead in 2010 with degrees in Elementary Education and Early Childhood Education. I moved to Fargo seven years ago from Duluth, MN. I have fallen in love with the Fargo/Moorhead community.  In my spare time I like to be with family and friends, scrapbook, outdoor activities, be at my cabin, and watch our five frogs. I am excited to have joined the team here at Fraser, Ltd. I am looking forward to lots of excitement.

Lacey Ranstrom - School-Age Supervisor
My name is Lacey Ranstrom and I am the School-Age Lead at Fraser, Ltd.  I began working at Fraser, Ltd. as an aide in August 2007.  During this time I was attending Concordia College in Moorhead.  I graduated from Concordia in December of 2007 with degrees in Child and Family Studies and Psychology.  In the spring of 2008, the lead position became available in the School-Age room.  I applied, and was eager to get started in this position!  Previous to working at Fraser, Ltd., I had worked as a Program Leader at the Boys and Girls Club of Detroit Lakes. I realized that working with children was something I wanted to pursue. In my spare time I like running, shopping, and playing with my pug puppy!
