Position: Transitional Youth Services Program Administrator


Position Purpose

To provide coordination and implementation of new program strategies for transition age, runaway, homeless, and at risk youth service recipients.  This position also oversees all aspects of our Transitional Youth Services programs.

Children’s Services provides a safe, healthy, and inclusive environment in which children with special needs and children typically developing learn and grow together. Transitional Youth Services provides shelter, basic needs, life skills education and advocacy services for disenfranchised youth by supporting independent thought and empowering self-directed action for individuals ages 16-26. Adult Residential Disability Services promotes education, advocacy, and active treatment for people with intellectual disabilities by providing supportive services in a residential environment.

Educational Requirements

College education required in program development, behavioral management, education, social work, psychology, or other related field with demonstrated success in program development and implementation. Masters level a plus. Experience working with at-risk youth and young adults, personnel management (hiring, coaching, and mentoring), and operating within a larger organization preferred.

Responsibilities and Job Duties 

The primary focus of this position is to coordinate services for Fraser, Ltd. Transitional Youth Services. In addition, this position is expected to attend and facilitate meetings with network partners, complementing services, and staff as deemed appropriate.

Incumbent should have a knowledge base of existing transition age youth services in our community/region as well as person-centered planning. A key component is to develop and maintain relationships among community partners and collaborate networking efforts.

The individual in this role provides information and referrals to experts/outside resources, with a perspective on transitional age, runaway, homeless, at risk youth services, mental illness, and developmental disabilities.

Meets the specific service goals of Transitional Youth Services regarding transition age, runaway, homeless, and at risk youth as determined by strategic planning and organizational goals.

This position or its designee will supervise TYS Direct Support Staff, licensed social worker(s), volunteers, and student interns. Strong people management skills are required along with the ability to organize functional teams to achieve outcomes. Clinical supervision skills are required to meet weekly with center employees to staff all high risk cases.
